Summary

This report provides the Metropolitan Police Authority with the revised MPS/MPA Health and Safety Policy.

A. Recommendation

That members note the report.

B. Supporting information

1. The MPA comments have been incorporated following consultation. There are only a small number of changes, the most substantive being to the first four paragraphs of the Forward and the insertion of the smoking at work paragraph on page 18.

2. The Commissioner signed the revised Health and Safety Policy on 1 February 2005.

3. The revised Health and Safety Policy is set out in Appendix 1.
