1. This report covers the following meetings:

Estate Panel – 21 January 2010

2 Amongst the business considered was the annual report on the disposals of surplus properties in the coming financial year and the proposals for the transfer of front office counters in Harrow. The panel supported the proposals in these reports, which are included on the agenda for today’s meeting. The next meeting of the Panel is on 11 February immediately following the meeting of the Finance and Resources Committee. Amongst the items to be considered is the the estate framework which is also due to be considered at the March meeting of the Finance and Resources Committee.

Treasury Management quarterly report

3 The report on Treasury Management activity for the period 1 October to 31 December 2009 was presented. The average cash balances invested during the quarter were £184 million which is £13 million lower than the previous quarter. This is due to lower cash balances in the previous quarter. The rate of return has in fact increased marginally by 0.3% compared to the previous quarter.

Requests of contract action and update on the control of single tender actions

4. A report was considered which set out a summary of requests for contract action received by Procurement Services in the period. 1 October to 31 December 2009 with a focus on requests for Single Tender Action. The Sub-Committee will continue to receive quarterly reports. Members also requested a report which provided comparisons on an annual basis.
