B. Supporting information
1. The Director of Human Resources, MPS, issued a note in July 2006, to all MPS Management Board members making clear that:
- all Management Board overseas travel must be authorised by the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner;
- all other overseas travel – including that for other ACPO and senior police staff should be authorised by the appropriate Management Board lead; and
- it is for Management Board to make the detailed administrative arrangements in their business group to ensure that (b) occurs.
2. The content of the note was reiterated to the MPS Management Board, in August 2007 and recently. All of the Management Board members have now reported back to the Director of Human Resources confirming that these arrangements are in place.
