65. Olympic Policing Coordination Status Report Update (Oral update)

(Agenda item 7)

65.1 The Sub-committee was briefed on Olympic policing activities and issues which had arisen since the last Sub-committee meeting.

66. Business Case: Provision of residential accommodation

(Agenda item 8)

66.1 The Sub-committee was briefed on the proposed Provision of Residential Accommodation business case which seeks to provide accommodation, transportation and deployment arrangements to ensure the MPS police can mobilise appropriate resources at the right time and place to deliver the broad range of Olympics policing responsibilities.

66.2 The Sub-committee approved the recommendations of the business case subject to one minor wording change in recommendation one.

67. Verbal presentation: human trafficking and the Olympics

67.1 An MPA officer presented a paper ‘Women’s Safety and the Policing of the 2012 Olympics’ to the Sub-committee. The Sub-committee noted the paper and presentation.

68. Summary of business cases to be presented to the MPA

(Agenda item 10)

68.1 The Sub-committee noted the report on the two business cases which will be presented to the Olympic and Paralympic Sub-committee at its next meeting on Thursday 10 June 2010.
