37. Forfeiture of police pension

(Agenda item 8)

Members resolved that an application should be made to the Home Secretary for a certificate of pension forfeiture in relation to an ex officer. In addition they requested that an annual report be submitted to the Professional Standards and Complaints Committee of all police officers who have been convicted of a criminal offence, including a list of officers and members of staff who have been dismissed and required to resign; the terms of reference of the Sub-Committee be extended to include consideration of MPS’s applications for financial assistance or settlement.
