59. Exclusion of press and public

A resolution was put to exclude the press and public from the meeting during the remaining agenda item as it would be likely to disclose exempt information as described in Part 1, Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).
Resolved – That the press and public be excluded from the meeting during the remaining agenda items.

The minutes of the Professional Standards Cases Sub Committee (Part 2): 14 December 2006, 15 January 2007 and 8 February 2007 be confirmed and signed as a correct record subject to one change detailed. A considered opinion of the judgement made by the Crown Court in favour of officer whose pension was forfeited would be received at the next Sub Committee meeting.
61. Police Pensions Regulations 1987 - application for certificate
(Agenda item 6)
It was resolved that the ex officer had been convicted of an offence in connection with his service as a member of a police force; and that an application should be made to the Home Secretary for a certificate of forfeiture.
62. Police Reform Act 2002
(Agenda item 6)
At an earlier meeting, the Sub Committee had considered allegations made against two ACPO officers. It had made determinations in relation to all but three of these allegations, where it felt it had insufficient information to reach a conclusion and, therefore had asked that additional particulars be obtained. The Committee now considered these three outstanding complaints.
