(Agenda item 6)

(This item was considered before item 5.). Members had received the report of the Chief Constable of Gwent, who had been asked by the MPA to investigated allegations of misconduct by an ACPO officer. The Chief Constable had concluded that there was no evidence identified to justify any further criminal investigation into the alleged misconduct, however there were lessons that needed to be learned by the MPS on the issues that arisen. An enquiry into possible misconduct by another ACPO officer was delayed pending a review in six months time.
