1. Communications and Apologies for absence
1.1 Catherine Crawford (Chief Executive) advised that the meeting of the Sub Committee scheduled to meet today (24 September 2009) at 2:00pm Dean Farrar Street would have been inquorate. In order to avoid delaying the consideration of a number of urgent cases it had been agreed to cancel that meeting and call this special meeting in its place.
1.2 Apologies for absence were received from Cindy Butts and James Cleverly.
2. Declarations of interests
No declarations of interest were declared.
3. Minutes of Professional Standards Cases Sub-committee (Part 1): 9 March 2009 and 2 April 2009, 14 & 28 May, 4 & 25 June, 13 & 30 July and 27 August 2009
(Agenda item 3)
The Sub-committee was asked to approve the minutes of the meetings held on 9 March, 2 April, 14 & 28 May, 4 & 25 June, 13 &30 July and 27 August 2009 as a correct record.
Resolved that the minutes of the Sub Committee held on 9 March, 2 April, 14 & 28 May, 4 & 25 June, 13 &30 July and 27 August 2009 were approved as a correct record.
4. Exclusion of press and public
A resolution was put to exclude the press and public from the meeting during the remaining agenda item as it would be likely to disclose exempt information as described in Part 1, Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).
Resolved – That the press and public be excluded from the meeting during the remaining agenda items.

(a) Police Pensions Regulations 1987 – Application for a Certificate of Forfeiture

Agreed to apply to the Home Secretary for a certificate of forfeiture.
(b) Police Pensions Regulations 1987 – Forfeiture Stage
(Agenda item 6)
Agreed to a make a permanent forfeiture in part, of a former officer’s pension.
(c) ACPO conduct matter
(Agenda item 7)
It was agreed to defer this item to the next meeting.
(d) ACPO conduct matter
(Agenda item 8)
A complaint against an ACPO officer was considered.
(e) ACPO conduct matter
(Agenda item 9)
A complaint against an ACPO officer was considered.
(f) ACPO conduct matter
(Agenda item 10)
A complaint against an ACPO officer was considered.

(Agenda item 11)
A complaint against an ACPO officer was considered.

A complaint against an ACPO officer was considered.
(i) Update on ACPO Complaints and Conduct Matters – Decisions taken under Delegated Authority
The Sub-committee noted the complaints and conduct matters summarised within the report and endorsed the decision taken under Delegated Authority.
