Summary
The report introduces a proposed action plan in response to the external auditor’s Annual Audit Letter 2001/02.
A. Recommendations
- The Panel is asked to note the action plan responding to the Annual Audit Letter 2001/02.
B. Supporting information
1. The Panel received the external auditor’s Annual Audit Letter following the 2001/02 audit at its last meeting on 9 December 2002. The Letter does not contain formal recommendations but makes a number of points which need to be followed up. The action plan attached as appendix 1 identifies the points requiring action and sets out the actions proposed.
C. Equality and diversity implications
The action plan includes a specific commitment to publicising he Authority’s role in monitoring and mainstreaming the requirements of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000.
D. Financial implications
There are no new financial implications of implementing the proposed action plan.
