1. Appointment of Chair

Resolved - That Anthony Arbour chair the Business Appeals Panel.
2. Apologies for absence

No declarations of interest were received.
4. Exclusion of press and public
(Agenda item 4)
A resolution was put to exclude the press and public from the meeting during item 5 as it was likely to disclose exempt information as described in paragraph 1, schedule 12a of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).
Resolved – That the press and public be excluded from the meeting during discussion of agenda item 5.

5. Police regulations 2003 – appeal against a decision by the Commissioner
(Agenda item 5)
Members considered an officer’s appeal against the MPS’s decision to refusal to allow his business interest. After considering details of the application, the evidence before them and the submissions of the officer and his Police Federation representative, they agreed the officer’s business interest be approved.
