Summary

The Committee is asked to make appointments to the remaining four link member vacancies.

A. Recommendations

That the Committee makes appointments to the remaining four link member vacancies.

B. Supporting information

1. The full Authority made appointments to 28 of the MPA link member positions at its meeting on 29 July. It was not possible at that time to make appointments to four boroughs – Haringey, Islington, Havering and Barking and Dagenham.

2. The Authority authorised the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, to make appointments following discussions with the members concerned. However, in the case of two of these boroughs more than one member has expressed an interest in the link member role. It is felt more appropriate, therefore, for the decision to be taken by the Co-ordination and Policing Committee.

3. As discussions with these members have not yet been concluded, the Chair and the Clerk will report orally to the meeting. The link membership for the other 28 boroughs is attached as Appendix 1.
