Summary
The ACPO Excellence in Policing Performance Conference 2006 is being held on 11 & 12 September 2006 at the Ramphal Centre, University of Warwick. Richard Barnes has asked to attend on behalf of the MPA. This decision rests with the Committee as the costs will exceed £500.

The Committee is asked to decide on this conference attendance
B. Supporting information
This conference will explore some of the crucial issues currently facing the police service, all within the context of the most significant reorganisation of policing for more than 30 years. The Committee’s decision is required as the cost of the conference, including travel and accommodation expenses, exceeds £500 per delegate.

D. Financial implications
The cost of this conference is £750 which includes pre-conference dinner and accommodation for two nights . Travel costs will be additional.
