Members are asked to note this report.

B. Supporting information

1. The meeting of the Authority on 25 April 2002, received the draft minutes of the Committee's meeting on 18 April. Reference was made to the committee's decision to seek disposal of this former police station on the open market.

2. Whilst the Committee's decision was not changed, the Director of Property Services (PSD) was instructed to continue discussions with the Community Advice Project (CAP) during the following 4 month period whilst it was expected the MPA would continue to make use of accommodation there. A report was requested for the current meeting of the Committee.

3. PSD attempted to make contact with CAP immediately following that meeting and convey the outcome of members' discussion. A message was left which has subsequently been acknowledged and we await a response to a suggested further meeting.

4. In the meantime the Greater London Magistrates Courts Association has also considered the position and endorsed its previous decision and now seeks disposal of its property on the open market at the earliest time which would maximise the capital receipt.

C. Financial implications
