Summary
This report invites the Committee to make appointments to the Budget and Police Overtime Review Group.
A. Recommendations
That members agree to make appointments in respect of the Budget and Police Overtime Review Group and to consider the remit of the group as detailed below.
B. Supporting information
1. The budget group was established to look in detail at budget development and monitoring issues and to carry out a review of police overtime. The current membership is:
- Graham Tope (Chair)
- Richard Sumray
- Reshard Auladin
- Richard Barnes
- Elizabeth Howlett
- Rachel Whittaker
- (Murad Qureshi - no longer a member of the Finance Committee)
2. The Committee is asked to confirm that it wishes the group to continue, and if so to agree the membership and to appoint the Chair. The Committee may also wish to review the remit of the group to include for example monitoring progress of the new financial planning framework.
3. The group meets as the business requires – usually monthly. The next meeting of the group has been arranged for 4 July at 10.00 a.m. A further programme of dates will be arranged.
