Summary
The Committee is asked to appoint the Chair, Deputy Chair and membership of the Planning Panel for the year.
A. Recommendations
That the Committee
- seeks nominations and appoint the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Planning Panel; and
- appoints members to the Planning Panel 2003/04.
B. Supporting information
1. The Committee is asked to appoint the Chair, Deputy Chair and membership of the Planning Panel.
2. The previous membership of the Planning Panel: Richard Sumray (Chair), Reshard Auladin (Deputy Chair), Elizabeth Howlett, Anthony Arbour, Lynne Featherstone and Nick Long. The membership of the Planning Panel does not necessarily have to be drawn from the Planning Performance and Review Committee, but can be made from the Authority as a whole.
C. Equality and diversity implications
The Planning Panel under its terms of reference, must have due regard to equal opportunities generally, the general duty of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 and the requirements of any other equalities legislation in carrying out a role given to them by the Planning Performance and Review Committee.
