18. Election of chair

(Agenda item 1)

Nominations for chair were sought.

Resolved – That Reshard Auladin chair the meeting of the Sub-Committee.

19. Apologies

(Agenda item 2)

Apologies for lateness were received from Jennette Arnold. Members were informed that Nicholas Long had resigned from the membership of the Sub-Committee.

20. Minutes

(Agenda item 3)

The Sub-Committee considered the minutes (Part 1) of the meetings held 4, 14 and 25 July 2003.

Resolved – That the minutes (Part 1) of the Sub-Committee meetings held on 4. 14 and 25 July 2003 be agreed and signed as a correct record.

21. Declarations of interests from members of the Sub- committee

(Agenda item 4)

No declarations were made.

22. Exclusion of press and public

(Agenda item 5)

A resolution was put to exclude the press and public from the meeting during items 6-8 as it was likely to disclose exempt information as described in Schedule 12(a) (1) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Resolved – That the press and public be excluded from the meeting during discussion of agenda item 5.

The Sub-Committee received the minutes (Part 2) of the meetings held on 4, 14 and 25 July 2003.

Subject to the minor amendments the minutes were signed as a correct record.

The Sub-Committee considered investigations into the conduct and complaints against ACPO officers.

25. Current cases – update

(Agenda item 8)

The Sub-Committee considered an update of current cases.

The meeting closed at 1.45 p.m.
