Fraud reporting
The Metropolitan Police Authority (MPA) is committed to honesty and propriety in the way we and the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) operate and spend public money to police London. The MPA will not tolerate fraud or financial irregularity in the administration of its responsibilities by employees of the Authority, the MPS, or by people who work with us.
If members of the public, MPA/ MPS staff, or MPA members become aware of any illegal practices or financial irregularities in the conduct of the Authority's business they can report it by:
- completing the online form;
- telephoning the MPA Directorate of Audit, Risk and Assurance on 020 7202 0105/0138; or
- writing to the MPA Chief Executive at 10 Dean Farrar Street, London SW1P 0NY.
Concerns raised will be treated sensitively and in confidence, and can be reported without fear of victimisation, discrimination or disadvantage. The information provided will not be disclosed without the sender being informed.
Reports can also be made anonymously and the matter will still be considered for investigation. However it is preferable if a name and a means of communicating is provided.
We will always acknowledge receipt of concerns within two working days, when we have a name and contact details.
If, after investigation, an allegation is found not to be substantiated, no action will be taken against the person making the report provided they did so in good faith. Action may be taken against anyone making malicious claims.
