Extraordinary meeting of the MPA

57/07
08 November 2007

An extraordinary meeting of the full Metropolitan Police Authority to discuss the implications of the guilty verdict in the Health & Safety trial of the Crown Vs the Office of the Commissioner will be held on Thursday 22 November at 9 a.m. The ordinary meeting of the full Authority that day will start at the conclusion of the extraordinary meeting.

Len Duvall, MPA Chair, said:

“In choosing the date of the meeting I have taken account of the need to discuss the issues as soon as practicable, and of the need to give all members the opportunity to attend for such an important item of business.

“The Stockwell 1 report published today will obviously also be very relevant to the subject matter of the meeting and this will give members adequate time to read and reflect on the contents of that report.”
