Metropolitan Police Authority: April meeting

A meeting of the Metropolitan Police Authority will be held in the Chamber, City Hall, The Queen’s Walk, London SE1 2AA on Thursday 30 April 2009 at 10.00 a.m.

This meeting is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend. There is access for disabled people and induction loops are available.

Kit Malthouse, MPA Vice Chair, will give an oral update on any key issues or events since the last Authority meeting and Acting Deputy Commissioner Tim Godwin will present a report on policing performance and respond to questions from Authority members.

Members will discuss the recent policing of the G20 demonstrations and hear two motions brought by Authority members relating to these events. They will also be updated on the Authority’s arrangements for independent review of the Babar Ahmad case. 

Met Forward, the MPA’s strategic work programme for the MPS, will be debated and members will be asked to confirm arrangements for the selection panel for the position of Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolis.
