MPA: CPS decision to charge senior Metropolitan Police Officer
39/09
21 May 2009
The MPA has been informed by the CPS of its decision to proceed with charges against Commander Ali Dizaei.
Commander Dizaei remains a serving police officer for whom the MPA has a duty of care. We require the MPS to ensure that all necessary support is in place.
The Professional Standards Cases Sub-committee will continue with its statutory duty to review regularly the decision previously taken to suspend Commander Dizaei.
