Director of Audit, Risk and Assurance
This position is held by Julie Norgrove.
The Director of Audit, Risk and Assurance is responsible for providing assurance to the MPA on the adequacy, effectiveness and reliability of the MPA/MPS systems of internal control, including influencing change to improve the internal control framework and the effectiveness of the MPA and MPS corporate governance framework.
Biography
Julie has 15 years senior management experience in internal audit. She has worked with the MPS audit since 1996 and has been a senior manager of the Metropolitan Police Authority since it was established. She also has significant local government audit experience having previously worked in Cardiff City Council for 12 years. Julie is the chair of the national Police Auditors Group and is a Member of both the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT).
