Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Metropolitan Police Authority was held immediately following the conclusion of this ordinary meeting which discussed the following business:

15. Election of two Deputy Chairs of the Authority
16. Election of Chairs and Deputy Chairs of MPA Committees
17. Appointment of membership of MPA Committees
18. Appointment to outside bodies/organisations
19. MPA the first year

As the MPA approaches its first anniversary, its Annual General Meeting provides an opportunity to reflect on the achievements and experiences of the past year.

The Chair will give observations, and invite other Members to do so, and the Clerk will add an officer perspective. The MPA and the MPS are due to publish a joint annual report. This will be circulated to Members of the Authority in draft before the meeting so that it can be discussed at the meeting. It is intended to publish the annual report on 3 July 2001 to mark the MPA's first anniversary.

Members were reminded that if they had a financial interest in any matter that was discussed at the meeting they should have declared the interest and not taken part in any discussion or voted on it.
