Summary

This report gives details, for information, of action taken by the Clerk under delegated authority on the grounds of urgency.

A. Recommendation

That the report be noted.

B. Supporting information

1. Standing Order 6.1 provides for the Clerk or Treasurer to take decisions under delegated authority and in consultation with the Chair of the Authority where a decision is required urgently. Decisions taken in this way have to be reported to the next meeting of the Authority for information.

2. The following action has been taken since the last meeting of the Authority:

  • Authorising the MPS to settle a compensation case (1/04)
  • Co-policing of the royal parks by the MPS and the Royal Parks Constabulary: authorising expenditure for purchase of equipment and the roll-out of MPS IT systems to enable the co-policing of the royal parks from April 2004 (2/04)
  • Not accepting a question to the Authority from Croydon CPCCC as it related to an operational policing matter
