A resolution was put to exclude the press and public from the meeting during remaining items on the agenda as they were likely to disclose exempt information as described in Schedule 12(a) of the Local Government Act 1972, paragraph 3.

The Chair gave a PowerPoint presentation on ‘London 2012: Security of the Games’.

22. Opportunity costs in relation to policing the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games – implications for the MPS

(Agenda item 6)

The A/AC, CO, presented a report which detailed anticipated opportunity costs in relation to policing the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games together with the underpinning planning assumptions. Members made various recommendations in relation to the report which would be submitted to full Authority at the end of the month.
