Apologies were received from Anthony Arbour, Reshard Auladin (Chair), Damien Hockney, Aneeta Prem, John Roberts and Richard Sumray. In the absence of Reshard Auladin, Rachel Whittaker, Deputy Chair, chaired the meeting.

Resolved - That the minutes of the Professional Standards Cases Sub Committee (Part 1): 9 November 2006 be confirmed and signed as a correct record.

41. Exclusion of press and public

(Agenda item 5)

A resolution was put to exclude the press and public from the meeting during the remaining agenda items as they would be likely to disclose exempt information as described in Part 1, Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Resolved – That the press and public be excluded from the meeting during the remaining agenda items.

43. Police Reform Act 2002 - allegations against ACPO officers

(Agenda item 7)

It be agreed that the Deputy Chief Executive should report further to a future meeting once legal advice was obtained, so that the Sub-Committee could decide whether to record the allegations as conduct matters and whether to take any further action.

With exceptions outlined in the minutes, members considered each of the allegations as repetitious, or an extension of issues already raised, or an issue of personal conduct.

45. Forfeiture of police pension

(Agenda item 9)

55% of the ex officer’s pension was forfeited permanently.
