Summary

This report is presented to inform members of the actions proposed by the Consultation, Diversity and Outreach Committee for monitoring the recommendations in the HMIC report: Winning the Race - Embracing diversity.

A. Recommendations

  1. That members note the report and the process outlined in recommendation 3 (Appendix 1) for consulting the MPS on the draft monitoring indicators.
  2. That a further report is brought to this committee following consideration by the CDO committee.

B. Supporting information

The CDO committee considered the report "Winning Consent: Embracing Diversity" on 27 February 2001 and draft monitoring indicators. Since then arrangements have been made with the MPS Inspection Unit to discuss the proposed monitoring indicators and agree a process for implementing the agreed indicators.
