Summary

This report sets out the proposed membership of the MPA Health and Safety sub committee and its reporting line within the Authority.

A. Recommendation

That

  1. the membership of the MPA Health and Safety Sub-Committee as being all those who volunteered; and
  2. the sub committee report to the Co-ordination and Policing Committee.

B. Supporting information

1. At the meeting of the Metropolitan Police Authority on 25 September 2003 it was agreed that a Health and Safety Sub-Committee be formed to help the Authority discharge its statutory duties.

2. In response to an open invitation, the following members are able to participate as members of the sub committee: Toby Harris, Jennette Arnold, Rachel Whittaker and Kirsten Hearn.

3. Following consultation with the lead member on health and safety, Jennette Arnold, it is believed that the work of the sub-committee should be overseen by the Co-ordination and Policing Committee.
