Summary
The financial management strategic programme was presented to Committee earlier this year; this report is the six-month review of progress on the programme.
A. Recommendation
That members note the progress made on the financial management strategy.
B. Supporting information
1. The financial management strategic programme was presented to the former Finance, Planning and Best Value Committee on 21 February 2002 (FPBV/02/25). The programme was drawn up to cover all the Authority’s interests from a financial perspective, encompassing a number of existing initiatives and action plans.
2. Appendix 1 sets out the key objectives and actions as agreed at the February meeting and highlights the progress made at 30 September against those objectives. There will be a further review in six months time.
C. Equality and diversity implications
There are no direct equality and diversity implications.
D. Financial implications
There are no direct financial implications although progress on the financial management strategy should have an effect on the financial performance of the Authority.
