Summary

This report contains the revised Procurement Strategy for the goods and services.

A. Recommendation

  1. Members are requested to note and approve the attached Procurement Strategy for goods and services to support the MPS.

B. Supporting information

1. Attached to this report as Appendix 1 is the revised procurement strategy for goods and services developed as a result of reports from the Efficiency and Effectiveness Reviews and the recently amended MPA Contract Standing Orders.

C. Equality and diversity implications

1. There are no direct equality or diversity implications resulting from this report. However, members will note the inclusion of the Equality and Diversity policy within the strategy. During the procurement process when dealing with suppliers there will be an increasing importance placed on this requirement as well as on environmental issues.

D. Financial implications

1. There are no financial implications resulting from this report as all financial aspects are dealt with during the procurement process.
