B. Supporting information

1. The MPS Performance Review Committee (PRC) considered this report on 25 October 2002.

2. The report gives brief commentary on all priorities. Appendix 1 gives a list of policing plan performance indicators, and other high profile performance measures.

3. This report was discussed. Good street crime and burglary performance figures were noted, as was the fact that performance against the gun-related violent crime target, and the judicial disposal rates for domestic violence and racist crime, were marginal. A performance report from Resources Directorate was also considered.

4. The PRC discussed the tension, particularly for BOCUs, between the focus on Operations Safer Homes and Safer Streets, the broader range of targets included in the 2002-3 policing plan, and borough contribution necessary for successful implementation of corporate projects.

D. Financial implications
