Metropolitan Police Authority - elections at Annual General Meeting

Today at the Annual General Meeting of the MPA, Toby Harris was elected to his fourth year as the Chair of the Authority. The two deputy chairs of the Authority were also elected and Richard BarnesĀ  and R. David Muir were voted in for a fourth and second term of office respectively.

Members also elected the Chairs and Deputy Chairs of MPA Committees. Appointments of membership to MPA Committees and appointments to outside bodies and organisations were also made.

The following appointments were made at the Authority's Annual General Meeting on 26 June 2003:

  • Chair of the Authority - Toby Harris
  • Deputy Chairs of the Authority - Richard Barnes and R. David Muir
  • Chair of Finance Committee - Graham Tope
  • Deputy Chair of Finance Committee - Nicholas Long
  • Chair of Human Resources Committee - Rachel Whittaker
  • Deputy Chair of HR Committee - Diana Johnson
  • Chair of the Professional Standards & Complaints C'ttee - Reshard Auladin
  • Deputy Chair of the Professional Standards & Complaints - Elizabeth Howlett
  • Chair of Planning Performance & Review Committee - Richard Sumray
  • Deputy Chair of Planning Performance & Review Committee - Reshard Auladin
  • Chair of Consultation Committee - Cindy Butts
  • Deputy Chair of Consultation Committee - Abdal Ullah
  • Chair of Equal Opportunities & Diversity Board - Cecile Wright
  • Deputy Chair Equal Opportunities & Diversity Board - Peter Herbert
  • Chair of the Audit Panel - Sir John Quinton
  • Deputy Chair of the Audit Panel - Eric Ollerenshaw
  • Chair and Deputy Chair of Standards Committee will be appointed by Standards Committee.
