Metropolitan Police Authority - June meeting and annual meeting 2005

A meeting of the Metropolitan Police Authority will be held in meeting room 1 (ground floor), 10 Dean Farrar Street, London SW1 on Thursday 30 June 2005 at 10 a.m.
It will be followed by the Annual Meeting of the Authority. Both meetings are open to members of the public and press.

At the meeting of the Authority items on the agenda will include:

  • MPA Community Engagement Strategy;
  • MPA/MPS Annual Report and
  • Report of the Standards Committee.

Commissioner Sir Ian Blair will give an update on operational policing issues in London and present a written performance report.

Members will also hear questions from Adiaha Antigha, Director of Hackney Council for Voluntary Service and from Ngoma Bishop, Chair of BEM Arts Network in relation to the disposal of Old Street Magistrates Court and Police Station. The Chief Executive Catherine Crawford will give the Authority’s response at the meeting.

During the annual meeting, Members will elect the Chair and Deputy Chair(s) of the Authority as well as the Chairs, Deputy Chairs and membership of MPA committees. Appointments to outside bodies and organisations will also be made.
