Metropolitan Police Authority March meeting

The March meeting of the Metropolitan Police Authority will be held in The Chamber, City Hall, The Queen’s Walk, London SE1 2AA at 10.00 a.m. on Thursday 31 March 2011.

The meeting is open to members of the public and press, and everyone is welcome to attend. There is access for disabled people and induction loops are available. 

Kit Malthouse, chair of the MPA, will give an oral update on any key issues or events since the last Authority meeting. Acting Commissioner Tim Godwin will present a report on policing performance and respond to questions from Authority members.

Amongst other items, members will discuss:

  • Policing London Business Plan: proposing the final Policing London Business Plan 2011-14, summarising the main changes to the draft previously discussed by members
  • Grant settlement: setting out the detail of the Government’s announced grant settlement for 2011/12 and indicative allocations for 2012/13 to 2014/15 and the implications for the funding of the Authority
  • Treasury Management Strategy: setting out the Treasury Management Strategy and Policy Statements and Investment Strategy recommended for 2011/12
  • Met Forward Two focussed on fighting crime: a refreshed document which notes developments and achievements made in the last two years, and articulating future priorities for the MPA
