Photo: Beverley ThompsonBeverley Thompson has a BA (Hons) Degree and CQTW having started her career as a Probation Officer. Beverley in currently Director of Race and Criminal Justice Issues at the National Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders, having joined in 1991. She is Chair of the Independent Advisory Group to the Racial and Violent Crime Task Force at the Metropolitan Police Service. She is currently a member of the Home Secretary's Steering Group taking forward the recommendations of the Stephen Lawrence Inquiry. Vice – Chair Equal Treatment Advisory Committee (Judicial Studies Board) and a member of the JSB Board. Member of the Racial Incidents Standing Committee (Home Office), Criminal Justice Consultative Group - Subgroup on Race, Victims Steering Group (Home Office) and has recently been appointed as an Advisor/Consultant to the AULD Review of the Criminal Courts.
