Borough Community and Police Engagement Groups (CPEGs)
They provide a mechanism of local police accountability and are a means of reporting back to local community groups. As independent voluntary groups, they are managed and chaired by members of the local community.

Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP)
Made up of a combination of police, local authorities and other organisations and businesses who have banded together to develop and implement strategies for tackling crime and disorder on a local level.

Hate Crime Forum (HCF)
The HCF scrutinises the MPS response to victims of all hate crime across the six strands of equality - age, gender, disability, religion & belief, race and sexual orientation.
Independent Custody Visitors (ICVs)
ICVs are members of the local community who visit police stations unannounced to check on the conditions and treatment of people in police custody.
