This report gives details, for information, of action taken by the Clerk under delegated authority on the grounds of urgency.

That the report be noted

B. Supporting information

1. Standing Order 11 provides for the Clerk to take decisions under delegated authority and in consultation with the Chair of the Authority where a decision is required urgently. Decisions taken in this way have to be reported to the next meeting of the Authority for information.

2. The following action has been taken since the last meeting of the Authority:

  • authority to settle a legal action
  • authority for MPS to engage legal representation for two employees concerning investigation into an incident
