Summary

This report gives details, for information, of action taken by the Clerk under delegated authority on the grounds of urgency.

A. Recommendation

That the report be noted.

B. Supporting information

1. Standing Order 6.1 provides for the Clerk or Treasurer to take decisions under delegated authority and in consultation with the Chair of the Authority where a decision is required urgently. Decisions taken in this way have to be reported to the next meeting of the Authority for information.

2. The following action has been taken since the last meeting of the Authority:

  • Agreement to sole tendering to the Independent Custody Visiting Association to carry out a review of Independent Custody Visiting Panels (3/04)
  • Agreeing that the MPA’s annual meeting revert to its original date of 8 July (4/04)
  • Clarifying the provisions of the Scheme of Members’ Expenses to approve the inclusion of parking charges, provided these are not incurred within the congestion charging zone (5/04)
