Summary

This report asks members to appoint MPA representatives to out side bodies.

A. Recommendation

That

  1. members make appointments to the outside bodies given at Appendix 1 to the report; and
  2. note the membership requirements for the London Community Safety Board, formally the London Crime Reduction Board, and appoint representatives accordingly.

B. Supporting information

1. A copy of the current list of MPA appointments to outside bodies is attached as Appendix 1. Members have been invited to express an interest in representing the MPA at these meetings. Members are asked to confirm these and seek nominations for any outstanding vacancies.

2. Since the list of outside bodies has been circulated to member, the Authority has been informed that the London Crime Reduction Delivery Board, now called the London Community Safety Partnership, has undertaken a review, including its membership. The MPA is currently represented by Richard Barnes and Graham Tope. The Partnership membership now requires only one MPA member and one MPA officer. Members are asked to appoint one member to the Partnership.
