Summary
This report confirms the present position with regard to MPA owned radio mast sites.
A. Recommendations
That members note that four sites are owned on a freehold basis and that there are no intentions to dispose at the present time.
B. Supporting information
1. The Association of Police Authorities (“APA”) recently contacted all police forces in England and Wales in regard to radio mast sites used by each force. Following this, the MPA have asked for a brief update on the sites within the MPA portfolio.
2. There are four freehold sites within the MPA portfolio where radio masts are located.
3. For on-going operational requirements there are no plans at present to dispose of any of these four sites. This position will be monitored on an annual basis in consultation with operational colleagues.
