Resolved – That Cindy Butts be appointed Chair for this meeting.

15. Minutes of the Police Pensions Forfeiture Sub Committee – 22 September 2005

Resolved – That the minutes of the Police Pensions Forfeiture Sub Committee, held on 22 September 2005, be agreed.

16. Update on appeals

(Agenda item 5)

Members were informed that the Head of Professional Standards was not present because she was attending Crown Court in relation to an appeal case. An update would be provided at the next meeting.

Resolved – That the update be received.

17. Oral update on case management

(Agenda item 5)

At the last meeting, a report was requested on the timeliness of police pension forfeiture cases. Members were informed that members would receive a report on the timeliness of police pension forfeiture cases within the next few days.

Resolved – That a report on case management would be received within the next few days.

18. Exclusion of press and public

(Agenda item 6)

A resolution was put to exclude the press and public from the meeting during items 7 to 11 as they were likely to disclose exempt information as described in paragraph 1 and 7, schedule 12a of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Resolved – That the press and public be excluded from the meeting during discussion of agenda items 7 to 11.
