Part 1

1. Election of Chair

(Agenda item 1)

Resolved – That Reshard Auladin be elected Chair for the meeting.

2. Apologies for absence

(Agenda item 2)

Apologies were received from Cecile Wright.

3. Declarations of interests from members of the committee

(Agenda item 3)

No declarations of interests were made.

4. Minutes

(Agenda item 4)

Members noted the notes of the inquorate meeting of the Sub-Committee on 20 February 2003.

In addition, members accepted the minutes of the meeting of the emergency Sub-Committee held on 27 February 2003 with an amendment to the opening line of the document which stated that the meeting was not quorate; this was incorrect.

Resolved – That the minutes of the ACPO Conduct Sub-Committee meeting held on 27 February 2003, as amended, be agreed and signed as a correct record.

5. Exclusion of press and public

(Agenda item 5)

A resolution was put to exclude the press and public from the meeting during item 6 as it was likely to disclose exempt information as described in Schedule 12(a) (1) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Resolved – That the press and public be excluded from the meeting during discussion of agenda item 6.

The Sub-Committee considered a number of complaints against ACPO rank officers and received an update on all ongoing complaints.
