Verdict of unlawful killing returned at the Ian Tomlinson Inquest

MPA Statement:

Kit Malthouse AM, chair of the Metropolitan Police Authority and Deputy Mayor for Policing, said:

"The verdict returned by the jury at the inquest of Ian Tomlinson is deeply concerning. The Mayor and I offer our sincere condolences to Mr Tomlinson's family. As the CPS re-examines the case, I would urge it to do so quickly in the interests of all parties.”
