Summary

This report gives details, for information, of action taken by the Clerk under delegated authority on the grounds of urgency.

A. Recommendation

That the report be noted.

B. Supporting information

1. Standing Order 6.1 provides for the Clerk or Treasurer to take decisions under delegated authority and in consultation with the Chair of the Authority where a decision is required urgently. Decisions taken in this way have to be reported to the next meeting of the Authority for information.

2. The following action has been taken since the last meeting of the Authority:

  • Approval by the Chair of the Authority of a proposal from the Deputy Commissioner to make an offer of payment to settle a claim arising out of an investigation of a fatal stabling 1996.
