    The approved or draft minutes of the following committee meetings will be circulated separately to Members of the Authority for information. Minutes are publicly reported to the following meeting of the committee concerned for approval. They can also be viewed on the Authority’s website or by contacting the committee officer named at the bottom of this agenda.

    1. Policing and performance plan 2002/03
      The 2002/03 plan is to be discussed at the Finance, Planning and Best Value Committee on 21 January and this report will include any decisions of that committee.

    The Finance, Planning and Best Value Committee on 21 February will be considering two reports, as set out below. The committee's decisions will be reported at the Authority meeting

  2. Recruitment of visibly ethnic minority officers
  3. This part is split into two sections:
    1. MPS firearms policy, performance and training
    2. MPS position on 'less lethal' technology and options
  4. MPS strategy to enhance safety for users of minicabs
  5. Virdi Inquiry - MPA action plan
  6. Exclusion of press and public
    To resolve that the press and public be asked to leave the meeting during discussion of the remaining item of business because exempt information as defined in paragraphs 12 and 14 of Part I Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 is likely to be made known.

Please note that all members of the press and public had to leave the meeting at this point.

Part 2

Items considered after the press and public have left

  1. Confidential minute of the Authority meeting held on 24 January 2002
  2. Interim agreement with Transport for London for the proposed establishment of a Transport Operational Command Unit

Members were reminded that if they had a financial interest in any matter that was discussed at the meeting they should have declared the interest and not taken part in any discussion or voted on it.
