Information about the Metropolitan Police Authority

Full Authority webcasts:

Each MPA full Authority meeting from City Hall is broadcast live. The webcast can be accessed from the MPA website homepage when the full Authority meets.

An archive of full Authority meeting webcasts is available.

The in-house broadcast contractors for the Greater London Authority, Bow Tie Television  provide a pool feed of the MPA full Authority meetings in the Chamber from shortly before the start of the meeting. This is sent via the GLA’s fibre links to the BBC’s dedicated fibres, and to the British Telecom Tower for all other broadcasters who wish to take the pool feed.

All broadcasters (with the exception of the BBC) can pick up the feed from the British Telecom Tower. The details are:

Media facilities in the Chamber, City Hall

There are a limited amount of facilities for those broadcasters who either wish to have their own cameras or audio recording equipment in the Chamber.

Audio room feeds are available for broadcasters in the Chamber on request via XLR connectors in the public area behind the seating on both sides of the entrance doors. Please contact the Bow Tie office if you require assistance

There are no ISDN feeds available in the Chamber itself, but there are facilities in the Media Suite on the lower ground floor via Glensound codecs for those broadcasters who wish to either interview or submit live reports for radio.

A live Wi-Fi service is provided from the café area on the Ground floor for those journalists who wish to file copy using this facility.
